Homemade Car Dock MOD *with pictures*
Bought a cheap car phone holder from walmart over the hollidays and decided to make it a lil easier to dock my TP on the go.
![]() ![]() I took one of my spare headphone splitters and some JB Weld. I wrapped my phone in plastic wrap to keep the JBW off of it. After plugging in the phone and setting it just right in the holder I placed to JBW around it. I forgot to take a picture of the phone and plastic wrap. ![]() ![]() Let it set and then let it cure for 24 hours. I sanded the rough edges and then painted it black. ![]() I can easily dock and undock my phone with one hand in the car now. *Makes it easy to pick up a call if the need ever arises* If I had to do it over I would make sure to go over the JBW with wet fingers to create a smooth surface. All I need now is a script to launch a app chooser when the phone senses it is docked. anyone got one?

LOL! good God that's hideous! Did you apply a primer coat before painting? You might be able to sand it down after a few primer coats and really give it a finished look. All in all, good job. I'm still working on my air chamber thing for charging/tethering at the same time lol
