Re: wm 6.1..removing the opera browser
I've read this somewhere. I have not tried it. But it's worth a try. You have to go to opera and download the exact browser. It has to be the same one that's on the phone now. I think it's 8.65? Anyways, it will prompt you when you download to delete the exisiting one first. Tap O.K. Then after downloading, you should be able to go to remove programs and find it there. Then you should be able to remove it like any other program. Hope it helps. Give it a try and report back. Thanks T M Z

Re: wm 6.1..removing the opera browser
There's also an app called JZSmartMort that will reset all your defaults for file associations. I had the same problem (even after reinstalling and uninstalling) and it fixed it for me. I'll attach it. You need mortscript to run it but I think mortscript is included in the cab. Not sure though. Anyhow, good luck.

Re: wm 6.1..removing the opera browser
Besides the file associations, there's a default browser key in the registry. Check and see if that's set to Opera:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\EFBROWSER\1 Set it to the path of whichever browser you want to use. |

what would you set that file to just for IE? Or should I just delete the files for Opera and be done with it. I tried to download Opera 8.65 to the phone and install but i'm getting an error, so i'll download it to the comp and transfer the file over. |
