Epic 4g - Invishied and Protection

Finding accessories for the epic is a PITA but you expect that with a new release.

So went searching today for accessories that work well together and will protect the phone.

- First the Invisible Shield - It covers the FULL screen including the touch buttons at the bottom. There are openings for the camera and the sensors.

Screen Clarity? - Excellent IMO - There really was no change except for the feel of the screen which now helps with the sensitivity.

Sprint Hard Plastic Case (RED)- Covers the phone fully and will work until Boxwave comes out with the Gel case for the Epic.

Leather Case - Went by Best Buy Mobile in the mall and came across Eddie Bauer Leather case for $24.95. Fit the phone perfect with the Hard Case Cover. The interior of the case is a nice soft plush material ( I think ). And I have to admit I like the design.

All together the phone is fully protected and should last.

I agree with you about the Sprint hard case with the rubberized outside. I went in the store with the intention of checking it out, expecting it to suck and leaving. Instead, as soon as I put it on I loved it, so I bought it.

I had to admit for once the design is nice and the feel is great, hoping they offer blue soon. Paired with the invisible shield the phone is a brick house lol.

Does the Epic 4G slide in and out perfectly without any interference? I bought something on eBay that fit, however when I slid the keyboard in and out, there was interference with both ends of the case.

Re: Epic 4g - Invishied and Protection

interesting... im not sure i like the look from those pics tho... and the idea of makin my epic any bigger doesnt appeal to me... I like the size perfect as is... any bigger and hell in my pocket... but im still open think ill wait awhile for some more options... but for now im good with just my zagg invisishield... Best buy installed it for me the minute i got it, so I never experience the epic sensitivity w/o it... but its very nice now... i can only imaging how sensitive it was w/o it... but it was weird the first day or so, getting used to that quasi soft/sticky texture of it...

With the sensitivity I noticed sometimes I wouldn't even need to touch the screen and I could open apps or menus by just hovering over them, with the shield the screen is perfect IMO.

Re: Epic 4g - Invishied and Protection

lol... im actually noticed that even w/ the zagg shield... ill come close to the screen maybe like a mm or two off of it... think about if i really want to click this, or still reading something, and next thing i know... ive selected it w/o any actual screen contact...lol

Even with Gorilla Glass there is chance of scratching and normal wear through time, so a screen protector never hurts.
