Re: Making iContact Default?

when you install the cab. it should automatically become the default when pressing the soft key.

certain programs however call the built in contacts manager. that is app to appwhether it can be changed, but generally it cannot

Re: Making iContact Default?

if what he said above dont work, download a remap software and that program allows you to remap just about any app on your phone

Re: Making iContact Default?

What seemed to work for me (on a ppc 6700 and 6800) was to do a soft reset after running the program through the programs folder. After that, simply hitting the softkey made the icontact program come up.

Re: Making iContact Default?

Get yourself a registry editor (PHM Registry Editor is a good one) and browse to this key:

HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Rai/:MSCONTACTS

Change the current value (1 - :MSCONTACTS) to the path of iContact. I put my iContacts folder into my Programs folder so I look like this (with the quotes)

1 - "\Program Files\iContact\icontact.exe"

After that soft reset.

Re: Making iContact Default?

how do you go to hklm? I am using the phm registry editor on my phone, and all I see is :hkey_classes_root, and hkey_current_user, and Hkey_local_machine, and hkey_users under my device?

Re: Making iContact Default?

I can use the softkey to bring it up, but not when i go to the touchflow and go to all contacts, then it brings up the normal htc diamond one which I don't like. How do I make the phone ONLY use icontact? The registry is fine, but i have ab0 and ab1, with ab1 set to the icontact, but the ab0 says just "contacts",

Re: Making iContact Default?

How do you make it so that when you go on the touch flow people, and go to all contacts it goes to the icontact? I have to hit the "talk" key, then hit contacts for it to open up the icontact app, and the first method goes to the htc diamond version, which i really dont like

and secondly, is there a way to make my contact list appear by FIRST name and NOT by last?

like instead of showing Jessica Alba as: Alba, Jessica, I want it to show as Jessica Alba

(not that i have her # or anything lol-i wish)

Re: Making iContact Default?

1) For iContacts on TF3d: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...65&postcount=4
I've attached the app needed to make such a change.

2) The only work around I have for that is to input contact names in the Business name field. Not quite sure how to rearrange by first name.
