Re: Treo Pro & Opera Mobile 9/9.5/9.7*new*

enable/disable turbo mode holds half of the battles and bring most of the solutions for not just you but all of us...

from opera launch/your home page disable turbo then goto ppcgeeks.com sign in click remember me...shut down opera then go back in it should remember password/username...this is just one example how turbo mode is the key to alot of different things...once you learn it all is well....

Re: Treo Pro & Opera Mobile 9/9.5/9.7*new*

Now that we are around the corner of your first Custom ROM by CFay, Budney and Friends.

Based on experience of the average users with the different builds of custom ROMs.

What would be the most compatible builds to use?

What version of Opera Mobile would we like in the first Custom ROM?

Re: Treo Pro & Opera Mobile 9/9.5/9.7*new*

As a longtime Windows Mobile user, I was obviously ready to ditch the Internet Explorer 6 browser as soon as I used it. It's nice to see that it's more compatible with flash and other web elements, but it still sucks system resources (more now, if possible) and still has a terrible browsing interface.

I went with the Opera 9.7 Beta initially as my default browser, but now I'm using the Iris Browser for Windows Mobile, by Torch Mobile. It's WebKit-based, does multiple tabs, and is quite responsive. It's WAY more compatible with websites than Opera is, even does AJAX really quickly and nicely (for instance, upvoting on reddit.com worked flawlessly). I'm pretty impressed, and would recommend Iris over Opera.
