You can read here about the C&D notice from HTC. I love this app and have also been on the receiving end of a C&D for software. These guys need to get a clue and deal with the fact that someone can create the same behaviors and looks that they can. HTC leave them alone.

Add your two cents here as I have sent this link to the HTC team. Tell them we love this app and if they want it shut down then buy it from them.

I'm upset too, but I highly doubt a few angry forum threads will do anything.

I know but man it steams me. HTC is just mad that Motorola has the number one iPuke killer out there right now. I have been using WinMo HTC phones for so long now I can't even remember when the last phone i had didn't say HTC on it somewhere. So now they are trying to shut anything down that decreases thier uniqueness to the market. Why won't they just release apps? Bring more customers over to their phones based on the software options people could have?

I agree SenseUI for Droid would work as well then we have the choice of what we want to use.

I'd pay $15 bucks for sense UI easy... they may even be able to coax more out of me.

It's a home screen widget that has the large flip style clock like HTC's sense ui, it also has one touch access to an animated weather display as well as one touch access to your alarm clock and calendar all in one VERY high end looking widget. I would post the .apk for ya since the developer can no longer sell it anyway, but I do support our developers, so lets give it at least a day or 2 or more before we start handing out his work for free. He might find someway around the C&D to sell his app again and then I would feel bad for handing it out. If it sounds like something you would be interested in right now do a market search for Weather Widget Donate and you'll be presented with an almost identical widget for 1.49
