Freakin schweet! So really, there were no hardware modifications to the phone itself, only to the battery door, correct? From what I can see, the microSD part of the adapter was slid through the back housing and put into the microSD cardslot, then a slot was cut out from the battery door to mount the SD card housing. This is an amazing modification, and I would say DEFINATELY why not!

Nice mod, although cutting into the stock bat cover doesn't seem ideal if you want to take it back (or sell it). Instead I would just get a extended battery door and hide the sd adaptor in there. Just an idea!

Was this mod ever tested with a wifi card? (ie Eye Fi)
This could be a worthy project if we get the ability to have Wifi on the Vogue.

actually I'm sure eyefi would work, but it's very limited in what it can do.

if you want wifi, I'll gladly trade my old mogul for a vouge ( i just want the cdma/evdo)

What exactly would the limitations be? I'll be upgrading to a Nexus One on VZW when it comes out but I'd like to keep my Vogue as a PMP and Wi-Fi would be awesome. 32GB is definitely overkill for me and way too expensive but a 4GB Eye-Fi would be perfect.

eyefi will only upload pics/vids to thier online service or other wifi destination (depending on which card/service you get) so it will not provide conectivity or communication to the ppc.
the ppc will see it as a normal storage card.

there was some news recently about a wifi enabled SIM card though...

Oh...that sucks. Was hoping I could stil have web acces without service. I got a cdma device so no sim card slot
