[HOW TO] Make your phone ring more before going to Voicemail (Bell)
Probably Bell Mobility ONLY...
Was tired of my phone ringing 3 times then going to voicemail...I'd miss the call right as I get to my phone So to increase the number of rings before it goes to voicemail, open up your dialpad and dial *94x, where x is replaced with a value from 2 to 9. (2 being the shortest amount of time and 9 the longest) So for example, I typed in *947, call. You hear a short tone to know it worked. Now my phone rings 8 or 9 times before going to voicemail! No problem guys I just called Bell because from previous phones I know you have to call your carrier so they can change the # of rings on THEIR end...but I guess that changed...we can change it on OUR end now! Anyways I waited on Bell tech support for 15mins so I thought I'd share so no one else has to wait to find out about this

More tips along the same line as sean222's OP,
Another way to find tips is to goto Start -> Programs -> Self Serve. There are some neat features and stats available specific to your own account. If you tap the FAQ section you can find easy steps for common items including the "change number of rings" tip. I personally like the unbilled usage link. Herk |
