2 different Touch Pros dont charge overnight

Me and my brother both have Touch Pros. Last night me and my brother put our phones to charge while we were asleep. My phone is charged via my laptop, while my brothers was via his wall charger. Both had the familiar glowing ring signifying charging. This morning we disconnect our phones to realise that they both immediately so critical battery levels and they both shut off. Neither charged at all, they simply kept themselves alive on the charger. Now they seem to charge fine. Is this just one big weird coincidence. Did anyone else experience this last night.

Are you running the stock rom? I had this issue several times running the stock sprint rom, hasnt happened once on ANY of the roms I have flashed.

entirely different roms. I run the Energy ROM (WinMo 6.5) while my brother runs the stock Alltel Touch Pro ROM (WinMo 6.1)

I've had that problem with both my TPs the first time I've charged it.

I have had that problem 3 times this week with my TP refub, only it just shuts down, or stays on a white screen. It charges but freezes mid-night.
