youtube app wont play videos

i have an htc touch pro with energy rom photon on it. i just flashed it and i have no problems but youtube wont play. it will load, show popular videos, and it will que a video but then it will give an error messege saying "youtube cannot play this video." and it will do this to every video. and i also have little to no bars after a flashed this rom. even when im next to a cell tower. any suggestions?
