A hard reset, puts your phone back to factory settings (no contacts, calls, text ect), but it WILL NOT PUT YOUR ROM BACK TO FACTORY if you wanted to do that you will need to flash the shipped rom. Hope this helps a lil!

if you dont no how to flash a shipped rom odds are you already have a shipped rom on your phone..so a hard reset will just erase any and every thing you done to your phone since you got it..ie make it back to brand new.
