honestly i have issues as well with battery and making it through my shift, couple suggestions. make sure you're using a good charger for your phone, also try a new radio, i'm on sprint and switched to the telus radio and noticed a HUGE difference on heat and battery life. a bigger battery would definitely help too, i'm just cheap

The keyboard solution literally kept me from smashing the phone into a wall! it's not 100% but it's 95% better
