Thumbs down Thumbs down for VZ Navigator

VZ Navigator really let me down today. I needed to locate a Citibank ATM in the area so I used VZ Navigator. It found one not too far, and when I drove there, it turned out to be a dry cleaners that looked like it had been there forever.

I figured maybe it made a mistake so I opted for the next closest Citibank in the list.

When I drove to the second one, it turned out to be a middle eastern grocery store which again had been around forever. There was no ATM to be found anywhere.

Why is this feature $10 a month?

Major inconvenience. Just wanted to vent.

Re: Thumbs down for VZ Navigator

personally i have never used VZ navigator but look around these forums for the llbored'sll GPS unlock for the Touch pro so you don't have to be bothered with paying for the GPS

if you go online and search around online for TOMTOM navigator 7 and the USA map. I'm not condoning using warez or any such thing but they are out there, and TOMTOM Seven isn't even offered in the US, and works amazing on my touch pro!

Anyone else got the lag on the GPS about 25 meters or so?? on google maps, live serach, and tomtom

Re: Thumbs down for VZ Navigator

i use to use VZ navigator whenver i needed it on my LG voyager. It did the job everytime i needed it and it worked well. I liked the program even to find gas stations or ATM's for my bank. Now i use google maps for my touch pro.. but im thinking of getting the garmin software. I just need the memory card which ive been putting off buying. Waiting for a killer deal on one... im not in a rush to get the garmin software.

Re: Thumbs down for VZ Navigator

I don't mind paying for the Tomtom maps. I'm just wondering if it does as good as VZ Nav. I love the MightyRom I was using...followed forum instructions on setting up GPS. Google maps works great. I just want a voice nav GPS other than VZ 'cause I can't use it with the rom. So how does it perform? Thanks.

Haha thats what I thought at first too. I skipped checking the Dry Cleaners since never in my life have I seen an ATM in a dry cleaners.

The grocery store I actually did check and even asked the clerk if they had an ATM and she sent me next door - which didn't have a Citibank ATM; some obscure one rather...
