But if I use sprint navigation and tv and the other programs what should I do? is there a way to keep those programs and still speed up the tp?

In the mighty ROM first page are also included the sprint cabs for those programs you use.

UPDATE*** here is the link for Mighty ROM and on the first page of the post you'll find a lot of tweaks you can follow the instructions and the programs you're looking for after the upgrade enjoy.

Backing up the pro on a mac that I don't know but like I said before you can use PIM and everything will go to the memory card. PIM is free and is really good to my understanding. I have not use any other back up programs before only PIM. All hou have to do is copy the file into your programs folder and go to the program and run it. You can find this program around here using the search. I hope this helps since I don't use a mac.

After you unlock your phone you should also check out the latest rom's from SSK (scrossler) and from RSTG. Both are pretty fast and stable.

Re: Touch Pro is pretty laggy... Any fixers???

if you are running a verizon phone, that's the nature of the beast due to the decreased ram among other things.
i am currently running Silence 8.5 (now up to 9.0)
i previously ran SSK1.5
both are huge improvements over the stock ROM.

one thing to be wary of is make sure you have a rom that is compatible with your carrier (e.g. don't use gsm for cdma, also i don't think all cdma's will run on each carrier)
also if you are on verizon then then some of the roms are optimized for non-verizon phones with more memory. so you might bump up against 100% mem usage. from what i read in other posts, if you change the pagepool (decrease it) that should help eliminate the problem (have to reflash with a new rom with the lower pagepool)

Re: Touch Pro is pretty laggy... Any fixers???

well havent read much of the thread but ill give you my 2cents

if you are on sprint you can try this..

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=44583

^^ works really well on a stock ROM

but i would strongly suggest a custom ROM.. i just got a new TP but i was using Juicys ROM found if you click on my sig.... i loved it, its fast! a friend with a stock pro saw it and loved it...

i havent flash a rom yet because im waiting on the next Juicy update.

there are other great custom ROMs out there, just look around and try them out..

good luck
