Touch pro stuck at screen with red letters...
 

I followed some instructions to get htc menus working and now my phone won't start. Is hard reset my only option?

It certainly couldn't hurt. If you can't get through the boot screen, I would think that it would be. :scratch: Someone else may know a way to bypass that, but I don't...

Unfortunately a hard reset is the only solution. The same thing happened to me. Thankfully I made a backup before trying it. That's always a good idea when you will be replacing any system file.

Get use to hard resetting... it is great that we can change so many things but it comes with a price.

How do I backup my entire phone so I can simply restore back to the way I had it? Is it called sprite backup? I thought it was for contacts only.

That is it. You can also start using UC to install all of the programs you like during the flash or hard reset.

I don't believe you can back up from that bootloader screen, but im not positive.

well once a hard reset is done, the restore is then done to replace the stock settings right?

I haven't used Sprite before, but with SPB Backup, it creates an executable file that you simply run from your desktop while the phone is connected via ActiveSync. I have never had to restore from these, but you would just run the executable that is created...
