Re: Asurion to raise deductible to $150

TEP coverage is looking more and more like a bad deal if you do the math unless you break the phone right after you get it...

Look
22 (the time Sprint lets you get a full discount ) x 7 = 154 + $100 deductible

This is more then what Best Buy charged for a new phone a few months after if came out.

I guess TEP is good for some people but it seems more and more like a rip off to me.

The VZW TP isn't worth $50.
I disagree, it's well worth more than $50.

yea but who ever pays retail price for a phone nowadays, even on ebay you can find non contract brand new phones for way cheaper.

Asurion is meant to be a last resort method that the store recommends if they do nt cover that type of damage or if you aren't located near a Sprint repair store.

Remeber TEP($4) is 1 of 2 parts (Asurion($3) to the insurance on the phone...

I remeber I used Asurion in a situation where the Sprint store TEP would've done the same.
Shhh!! don't tell everybody. some things are best to keep to yourself. so u can continue to receive the benefits. if all 100,000 ppcgeeks start doing this...trust me they'll change this up too.

Re: Asurion to raise deductible to $150

I have a sprint mogul that's pretty beat up after a year and a half and a button doesn't work. Are they still giving replacements for moguls because I don't think it's listed on their site. Are the replacements refurbs?

-Thanks

Mine was banged up...I called Assurion to get a replacement (hoping for a TP) but ended up getting a refurbished MOgul.

Re: Asurion to raise deductible to $150

Alltel's deductible has been $95 for at least 2 years now on smartphones. And the replacement on a mogul or titan in store would be a pro if there where not any titans in stock.
