True, but it's not for any carriers at the moment, they haven't released anything yet, just more or less officially announced it as the title of this thread states... Eventually, yes Sprint is going to get 6.5.

Release date is today.. That wouldn't be anything to do with windows 6.5?

That's not a 6.5 upgrade, as stated before Microsoft just announced it today, and that update you are posting is just a ROM update for GSM Touch Pro's that fixes some issues.

Improved Functions and Fixes

1. The display of TouchFLO 3D sometimes may appear cracked.
2. When taking a picture, the auto focus function may malfunction in some circumstances.
3. In some circumstances, the preview screen will become black after taking picture.
4. In some circumstances, the device may hang while loading TouchFLO 3D.
5. When hanging up a phone call, there may be a delay in the display response.

This is what that update is suppose to fix.

yes this is not a rom release thread it simply is a news thread that microsoft announced WM 6.5 today that is all .... please post in the other thread listed above for the GSM TP rom that was released today.
