Memory Adjustment - Program vs. Storage

Hello, just got my verizon Touch Pro and loaded Mighty' ROM. First thing I noticed was my program memory was extremely low. After opening only a few apps I was getting low memory warnings.

Is there a way to allocate more memory for programs? Older versions of Windows mobile had a slider to adjust this, but now it is not in the memory settings.

Thank you

Re: Memory Adjustment - Program vs. Storage

I'm running Windows Mobile 6.1, but cannot see an adjustment for this located in the memory settings.

Re: Memory Adjustment - Program vs. Storage

The memory slider was removed in WM5. You now have dedicated RAM and flash memory.

Re: Memory Adjustment - Program vs. Storage

I have the same problem with Mighty's ROM on my Verizon's TP. I absolutely love the speed of that ROM, but always get low memory warnings. For example after soft reset if I open Opera and then close it completely and then open HTC YouTube, I can't watch anything coz I'm "low on memory". Also, what I noticed is that every ROM has a diferent 'total program memory', that doesn't make sence to me coz if there is dedicated RAM, then how does 'total program memory' change with each new ROM? Also, I compared some screen shots of chef's ROMs to my installation of their ROM and I have about half of the 'total program memory' than they have. Someone please explain the memory concept to me coz I'm tired of running low on memory. Thank you and I'm really sorry if there's an answer somewhere on this forum already. I'd love a link.

Re: Memory Adjustment - Program vs. Storage

The Verizon TP has physically less memory then a GSM or Sprint Touch Pro. The screen shots are probably off GSM or Sprint phones.

http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1363 sprint.

http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1547 Verizon

Total program memory would change on each rom because each Chef adds / subtracts different things from the phone.
