Re: Calender and SMS Programs

For texting, there's SMS-Chat by VITO

There are some themes available for it. It becomes the default handler for text once installed. http://iwindowsmobile.com/threaded-sms-messaging.html

Re: Calender and SMS Programs

For SMS, I prefer Pocket Contacts Manager at www.pocketcm.com

Threaded sms, touch friendly contact list, themes available. Some times it lags loading up, but I love it nonetheless.

Re: Calender and SMS Programs

Currently using VITO sms chat and SBSH Calendar Touch. I think VITO with the dark skin looks good, its quite fast and very easy to use. Even if you use the standard messaging, it automatically appears in your SMS threaded section. Also Calendar touch is great, much better than thumbcal etc, its got alot of features but still relatively easy to use, alot of different ways to customise views etc.
You can use ones like PocketCM that incorporates everything but id rather use Phonex with VITO.

PocketInformant is actually quite touch friendly, once you get used to it. Make sure you've turned on the "Touch Mode" in the different menus(there's more than one place to turn it on).

About the only thing I'd like to see is it be more finger "gesture" friendly, like swiping left or right to move to the next day.

As for eye catching, do you want "pretty" or functional? Thumbcal is catchy looking and definitely more finger "gesture" friendly, but lacks functionality compared to Pocket Informant(if you need it).
