Who is using the default case and who is using a different one?

When I bought my pro the first thing I did was toss the case, I used my old mogul case. After a day or two I noticed the corner begain to turn a pinkish red color. I switched to my touch case and all seemed ok.. after a few weeks I noticed the corners and edges all begain to change and eventually turned somewhat bronze.

I came across the post about dyeing the back black.. now it looks great!

anyone elses battery cover becoming discolored?
the paint on my battery cover is starting to wear off, and all 4 sides have turned a redish silver... anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah, I sort of have that but I ignore it...it's not very noticeable at all. There was another thread about this too, though, so be sure to do a search. I guess it's all the more reason to go for a black battery cover

I havent heard anything about premature coloring... Sorry to hear you had this happen to you... Mine is perfectly fine with no warn marks or fading at all... The only thing I have heard about coloring is this, which is dying the cover to another color.. Maybe you could try dying it to a darker color so you don't have that reddish silver color... Maybe black would work?

I was going to try dyeing mine until I read the post about it ruining the camera pics.

The camera is so damn slow I rarely use it anyway, but I do want it to work occasionally.

My old Pro battery door was turning a goldish-yellow colour on the sides, I dyed the back of my new pro purple....and FYI dying does not mess up the camera glass.

i recommend get one of those shield it will protect your cover and color from fading.

well, sprint's sending me another pro because mine keeps freezing during pic mail... they're also including an extra battery and a car charger the girl i talked to was really nice. i don't even have the insurance or anything, but she pretended like i did and waved the 55 dollars replacement fee also. sprint rocks. well at least florida sprint girl does lol
