Re: Some Pro Thoughts From A Lurker.

As much as we list problems on the site, I think for the most part most of us absolutely love the phone. People generally only post about the problems they have, not the things they love. The volume is usable out of the box (although it is a little low I will admit). People don't create threads for "I love this so much" however, they only create threads to complain or ask for help. I am very happy with the phone, and imagine that most people are.

i think if you are comfortable using a winmo phone and customizing things and tweaking things how you like it, the touch pro will be a more powerful/capable device. if you are average at winmo and just want to keep a phone how it came, 800w is the way to go. i still love the 800w and if i wasn't such a techy i would have stuck with it.
You know what, I just realized that. So, yeah, I've never actually posted, but I've been a member for quite a long time.

Going back to the discussion, though, I love my treo 800w, so much that instead of selling it, i gave it to my wife. However, in order to get enough battery life, I had to kill too many services (bluetooth and gps come to mind). That sucks.

There are a few things that tick me off about the PRO, though. With no key to hit for OK, aiming for that little square is a pain in the behind. Also, TF3D doubles the same information that I could get from the straight WM interface, so I have to delete items a couple of times, when I only needed to do it once. If I delete a text msg from the Inbox, it should be gone from TF3D (it works the other way around).

The TF3D interface is pretty, but, just like the iphone, it actually takes longer to get to certain things than it would take me on the Treo. That part I don't like. It also doesn't feel as responsive as the iphone (yes yes, I own one of those too).

BTW, I am looking for a way to disable the sent messages notification from my text messaging. Does anyone know where to point me?
