Hey guys, just letting you know its the battery itself. I will try to explain as best as I can but...my tp2 was built in august...my friend's was built in november, I took the battery out of his and his battery is tighter fitting in my phone no movement at all...my battery on the other hand has a slight movement side to side with my finger and poof there goes the phone it shuts off. Try it out if you know someone with a newer touch pro 2 or a better that looks SLIGHTLY different around the edges. I put a piece of paper behind mine till I goto the store to get a new battery. Since I did that I can open the phone as fast or as hard as I want with no reset =o) Let me know if you try this.

I actually ended up getting a replacement. and the new phone is a November 27th build. first thing i checked was the new battery and it seats very tightly and doesnt move around and have not had my phone turn off even once since i got the replacement
