2. Kingston
3. Transcend
4. A-Data

this is based on my experience on using each brand. as far as what class i believe for a cellphone class 4 is good, although it wouldn't hurt to get a class 6 but i don't know if our devices can take full advantage of class 6. if you use a flash drive adapter to transfer files then class 6 is best.

Re: 16 gig memory card

There are other brands as well like RiData, PQI and Dane Electric oh and Top Ram...that said brands don't matter too much, A-Data, Top Ram, Transcend and Kingston are usually ones that are found on ebay so if you order from a unknown place you may get a fake one which will be same but lower quality.

Otherwise they are all the same...they all got life time warranties. The process for making SD cards is pretty generic so unless your getting a higher end card like 166x and etc, you won't notice the difference between brands.

As for price, I wouldn't pay 50$ for a class 2 when you can get a class 6 easily for 50$

On a good deal you can get a 16gb class4-6 for 30-35 bucks

Re: 16 gig memory card

I am currently using the RiData 16G C6 module from Newegg. I had been using a Sandisk 8G C6 module, but the TP2 kept losing track of the card. I would have to shut down two or three times a day in order to find the card. This would happen even in the middle of using the data on the card.

Since installing (default format and copy data from old card) the new card, I haven't had to shut down once. Everything is finally working as expected!

Re: 16 gig memory card

I've had 2 8gb class 2 cards a kodak and a nokia without incident. I now have a 16gb class 2 kingston I picked up at Fry's for 20 bucks. Couldnt turn it diown. I only wish I had a faster card when using the Manila music player. So... I don't.
