Try taking a picture with iso set @ 100 on the TP2 and then take one with the TP1 and then compare.
The reason they enabled iso settings on the TP2 is to compensate for the lack of a flash or light.
If you go to low on the ISO you start sacrificing speed so you end up with blurry pictures.

You can leave out any pictures of dudes... lol.
Just kidding. I have a TP2 as well and just use the default settings. I use auto everything and I am perfectly happy with my shots...

Re: woahhh

TP1 absolutely took better pictures. This was a big let-down when I got the TP2. I don't think any amount of tweaks will fix crappy camera hardware :/

Re: woahhh

I have to agree, the TP2 camera is pretty "blech".

OTOH, the 5MP on the Pure is pretty amazing. Not just b/c of the higher MP count, but the colors are much better.

I'll try to do a side by side tomorrow and do a post on it--though not sure why I'd do that outside of just making everyone mad at their TP2s, lol.

(Btw, adjusted thread title to be more clear)

Re: woahhh (TP2 Camera thoughts & opinions)

I can post pics, but the difference is almost invisible. The main difference is when you are moving the camera. The frame rate is much better when you lower the brightness. I am guessing this is why it takes better pics in motion.

You know I am glad you fixed that , the whole reason I ever entered this thread was to ***** about the title , lol.

Anyways b/o/t, I changed iso's and brightness ect up down and in between and it still stinks. I guess it is what it is , oh well.

Re: woahhh (TP2 Camera thoughts & opinions)

TP2 camera is definitely not something to brag about and TP1 is the definite winner between the two. I'm wondering if it's hardware. If so, I was thinking of swapping the TP1 lens with the TP2 if they have the same connectors.

I'm guessing this will not improve anything. It must be the actual sensor used that makes low quality looking images.
