Yep, so its TV => Crossover ethernet cable => PC => Wireless connection to my TP2

Sadly, yeah.

Try a normal cable. It may be different on different systems but when your bridged your PC should act as a router so try a normal Cat 5(6) cable.

?? My PC tethers to the phone just fine. It's my TV that doesn't get a signal from my PC via ethernet.
