Adding a "wait" or "pause" to a phone dial string

On my Mogul (xv6800), I was able to add a "w" in the phone number dial string that would tell the phone to pause and wait for the send key to be pressed before dialing anything after the "w". I would use this to dial voicemail and then enter my voicemail number automatically after I pressed the send key once connected.

For example:
222-333-1234w*4445556789
(Where my voicemail access number is 222-333-1234, * gets you the prompt to enter your voicemail phone number, and 444-555-6789 is your phone number)

This doesn't seem to work on the Verizon TP2. I haven't been able to find anything in the forums nor in the Verizon TP2. Anybody have any idea how to get this to work?

Thanks!

Re: Adding a "wait" or "pause" to a phone dial string

pressing the star key 2 or 3 times will put a p and w in the number respectivly. Then u can prolly save the number after the call.

Re: Adding a "wait" or "pause" to a phone dial string

Thanks, 8no . .

Using commas for the as pauses worked . . .forgot about those!

I had to insert a comma between the area code and number when entering my voicemail number to slow it down. Works like a charm!

Re: Adding a "wait" or "pause" to a phone dial string

Not sure about on the TP 2 but on the TP, w does work, but you don't press the send key, you press the enter (center of 5-way) to send the additional digits.

The keyboard that is brought up on the vm password screen has a "p" on it that will insert a pause.
