Re: TP2 hard reset

So I guess I wonder what the reset button is for then. I would feel dumb if I drilled a hole in my case for easy reset button access.

Re: TP2 hard reset

Except your post doesn't make sense nor work. The end and power key are the same.

Regardless I figured it out and the correct way is in post #1.

The reset button is for soft resetting your phone. Basically, restarting it. Would be the same as holding the power button for 5 sec to turn off the device.

Actually, you fail. On the Verizon TP2, like the thread title suggests, the end key is the power key. On the Sprint phone, and I'm assuming the others, there is a separate power key which is the sleep button on the Verizon model.

Does the SPRINT TP2 have a separate power button than the END key?

EDIT:
Hey imnuts, you posted while I was typing.
Thanks for the clarification..

I'm fairly certain that Sprint's model has the power button on the top of the device, where the sleep button is on the VZW model.

Yes the sleep button turns the phone on. End key by default turns phone into airplane mode.

PS i deleted my post with the "special kid" because as one of the posters stated evidently the phones have different methods.

Which is odd because that is how the Verizon TP1 was, pwr on and sleep was the top button.

Took me a min to figure out the end key turned on my Verizon TP2 at first.

I think when I need to soft reset ill just hold down the end key till device powers off.

Hopefully this topic will be easily searched in the future as this functions seem to vary phone by phone and are frustrating.
