What are you trying to do with EPST? Also, try and pull the SIM card, hard reset and see what you get.

After I successfully activated I tried to load the MR2 rom, that didn't work, so I tried to reload the shipped rom your instructions said.
Then in troubleshooting I looked in EPST and saw the MIP settings were all changed back to what they were. And when I tried to change them to what your instructions sais it game me the LPM error.

Here is what my splash screen says:
r 1.87.00wv
d 1.18.53792

I really want to use my phone again, but now I can't at all.
As mentioned I had never used a cooked rom. Should I try this one?

Okkay, something went very wrong with the Rom that was flashed. A flash should not change your M.IP settings. Did you try to take out your SIM and hard reset?

Re: Tutorial: Sprint Touch Pro 2 on the Verizon Network

I don't have a sim card in.
Yes I've tried a hard reset.
Is there any other software I can flash to somehow revert to the EPST settings I had before?
Should I try using QPST to write the EPST settings?
Or will flashing Mr. X's cooked rom do that for me?

Re: Tutorial: Sprint Touch Pro 2 on the Verizon Network

Let's give it a try. We need to get your radio back before we can do anything. I am not sure about your EPST question. What does your device say at Phone\Menu\Options\Network? Under 'Mode of Operation' are you set at Global, CDMA, or GSM?

Re: Tutorial: Sprint Touch Pro 2 on the Verizon Network

Network stays at Automatic B and it won't let me change it.
Operation is CDMA only.
Can you post the 2.35.00wv stock radio so I can try it too?

Re: Tutorial: Sprint Touch Pro 2 on the Verizon Network

Well, before I threw this phone away, I decided to start all over.

I reloaded Mr. X’s custom MR2 rom (closest cooked rom to stock you will find)
Flashed the 0.63 relocker
Then installed the 1.00 unlock cab and ran it
Then flashed the 1.00 unlocker
Then flashed the shipped rom
And low and behold……… Cell reception came back!!

Checked EPST and the LPM error went away too!
Then flashed your pixie dust rom
Followed all pixie steps and changed back to original, and then back to mine.
Then reflashed the shipped rom, and cell reception/EPST continued to work!
Then reflashed Mr.X’s MR2 rom, and all is right with the world!
Activated a different phone, and then reactivated this one with *228 (just to be sure all was well, and it was).
Also flashed the 2.37 radio and reception stuck!

So I think the mistake I made was flashing the stock/shipped MR2 rom.
And possibly the only thing that got it unstuck was the re-locking and re-unlocking process.

*Either way, it might be worth putting a warning on this thread that it is NOT recommended to use any of the MR1-3 roms after completing this process.
I know as you were helping me you flashed MR2 and didn’t have a problem, but it might prevent someone else from running into my same issue.
Also:
For step 10 Could you explain the “Force Close” script?
Does this just have to do with data? Or just text? Both?
Or with voice?
Why do your instructions have us says yes to “1x only” BEFORE dialing *228?
And If I use a Verizon TP2 instead of a Sprint, would step 10 be needed at all?

*Sigh*
So thanks for this tutorial.
It’s nice to now have a fully working phone!

Re: Tutorial: Sprint Touch Pro 2 on the Verizon Network

Wow!! Good for you!! That makes me feel soo much better. I was so sad that your radio went away! Thank you for letting me know about your fix. I am going to add that to my notes for sure. Who would have thought that relocking would have been the answer! Great effort!
As to step 10, it has to do with writing your secret keys to enable your phone to receive EVDO. I actually got that tip from a cool guy at Verizon tech support. I just wrote that script to make it happen.
Two things that you could check for me as our first beta tester. I have done so many things to these devices, I can't remember if these needed adjustment:
1. Did you have to adjust your mms settings to Verizon to receive picture messages?
2. Does your keyboard work properly?
Let me know! Thanks!

Re: Tutorial: Sprint Touch Pro 2 on the Verizon Network

I don't do text/pic/video messaging so I unfortunately can't check that for you.
But my keyboard seems to work fine (I do email over wifi).

So force choice only has to do with data?
Because I can't seem to get rid of the flashing white triangle roaming indicator.
Any suggestions on how to do that?
