meh, I like opera mini better than safari. it loads much faster. I have a few iphones that I use almost daily when in bed or relaxing, and opera was loading sites via 3g network, faster than safari using wireless g. opera mini > safari > opera 10 > opera 9.7

I installed from the original files and got a blank screen, will try the cab listed above... and that was the solution. This Browser actually seems to work.

One thing I like about opera mini, is it's loading some sites in the full version that didn't used to on my old mini or on full opera mobile. Digg.com being an example. Facebook is still a fight. I can get to the main page in full desktop view, but as soon as I click a link I'm right back in mobile view. But it's a start.

New mini has an irritating new bug that the old one didn't. When I click on a small text box, type a bunch of stuff, and then try to highlight that stuff (by clicking at the end with my stylus, then scrolling upwards until I reach the beginning) it doesn't scroll back up to the top. The text box just keeps jittering on the last two lines and basically I can't touch the stuff up above without resorting to up-arrow keys on my real or onscreen keyboard.

Damned annoying when you e.g. want to copy a forum post before clicking the reply button, ensuring it can be pasted back if something goes wrong during the posting process.

2. Is it worth it to let it become the default?
3. Is there any advantage to keeping the stock 6.5 opera browser?

1. For me it did. You also have the option to make it your default browser in the settings option.

2. Yes, Opera Mini loads very quickly so if you are opening links from emails, you'll get to it fast.

3. The main advantage is that Opera Mini doesn't always render things accurately. The full version, while slower, can render better so on certain finicky websites you gotta use it. Also, you can install flash-lite for this version and you can play flash videos.

Yes, it's a separate program with a separate link in your start menu.
