i have a PNY 8gb Micro Sd card and i noticed when someone sends me a picture its big but when i save it to the micro sd card gets smaller?

does someone knows why?

If its coming from a MMS than maybe when you are saving just the picture its not saving the rest of the MMS info and maybe thats why its smaller?
