LogMeIn

Has anyone else been able to successfully remotely connect to their PC from their TP2 using LogMeIn? I could do it just fine on my original TP and still can on my work PC, but now when I try to connect via my TP2, I choose my computer's name, then tap "Remote Control." It loads the next page, but it's just a blank white screen.

Any ideas?

Re: LogMeIn

I've been having the same problem, when's the last time you used it on your TP? I know that logmein has made some big changes to their service over this past weekend, and I'm curious as to if that affected how it functions on the winmo phones.

I wanna say it was about 7-8 days ago. I just got back from vacation yesterday, which is when I activated my TP2. I called and talked to LogMeIn tech support, and he acknowledged the major changes they'd recently made, and he said that while he couldn't say for sure, he was fairly confident that the issue I was experiencing with my TP2, was the result of those changes.

The tech support rep said that he'd submitted a trouble ticket and that they'd email me once they'd reached some sort of resolution.

Alright, so I got an email response a few minutes ago:

Also are you using Windows Mobile 6.1.4 or 6.1.5?
Windows Mobile 6.0/6.1 are both compatable there are known issues with 6.1.4/6.1.5

We are aware of the issue and development is working on a solution to it.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

I wonder if it's possible to track down a CAB for Pocket IE, so we have something to use until they get LogMeIn working with IE6 Mobile.

EDIT: I made this thread in an attempt to locate an older verion of IE, so that we at least have a temporary fix, until LogMeIn is able to resolve the compatibility issue with the newest version of IE.

Re: LogMeIn

Looks like there's a Cab for it over on XDA here...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...24&postcount=2

Gonna get that and see if it allows LogMeIn to work correctly.

Update: Using that cab allowed me to get into and use LogMeIn correctly.

Re: LogMeIn

I've noticed that for the most part LogMeIn Free has offered better performance (not to mention the ease of setup) than VNC, at least when compared on desktop computers.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

Anyone else having problems with keyboard not working? After installing PIE, I was able to get to my machines logon screen, but neither the software nor hardware keyboards worked.

Re: LogMeIn

LogMeIn indicated on their site that they have issues with third party keyboards like the one installed on the Touch Pro, I think the same one is on the Touch Pro 2, so you'd probably have to install the standard windows keyboard software in order to get it to work properly in LogMeIn.
