VZ touch pro 2 with sim card?

I got a VZ Touch Pro 2 with a sim card and i want to flash it to cricket is this going to be an issue? i was under the impression that SIM card devices are GSM? right or wrong?

cdma tp2 = world phone = cdma and gsm

It shouldn't be a problem. The Verizon touch pro 2 has CDMA and GSM built in. So you could use this phone with just about any provider. Crickett uses CDMA only. Verizon uses CDMA only in the US, Canada, and some parts of mexico. I think it make work off CDMA in Japan or china but i may be wrong on that. It only roams on GSM if you leave the United States and if CDMA is not available.

If you are out of the country and can not pick up CDMA then it will pick up GSM if there is a activated simcard in the phone however cricket doesnt do international roaming or use simcards so it wouldn't work out of the country anyway
