Re: Sleep OF Death!

Did you try mrX's fixed ROM for the new VZW Rom? I think he said he has fixed the S.O.D. problem in his ROMs with a different driver?

I can vouch for this. As of today, after using Mr. X' ROM for over a week, NO SOD!

Try it today!

Re: Sleep OF Death!

I've been struggling with this for awhile. After reading this thread and a thread over at xda, I am starting to suspect the built in wm65 lock mechanism in conjunction with programs like Smartlock or Lockdevice which trigger the wm65 lock screen. I've been a long time user of Smartlock and more recently Lockdevice (which I believe works the same way as Smartlock) and have seen quite a few posts by people saying that as soon as they stopped using Smartlock, their SOD issues went away. I just uninstalled Smartlock (and disabled all other "auto locking" programs) and am now waiting to see how things go.

I have my own standard set of cabs including LockDevice which I use XDA_UC on all the roms I flash.

I've seen SOD consistently on certain rom versions, I don't think Lockdevice is a contributor.

Lockdevice does seem to be more reliable than smartlock however.

Re: Sleep OF Death!

i've noticed that whenever outlook checks mail, manila.exe uses 100% of the cpu. Sometimes when outlook is polling mail during sleep, manila.exe causes the device to be locked up. a quick fix to revive ur phone is to pull out your sdcard and stick it back in. This is really annoying since it never happened on the TP1.

If it is ROM versions that cause the problem, then the HTC 2.07.xx ROM, which my ROM is based on, is definitely causing SODs.

Regarding lockdevice, I only used it for a short time a week or so ago and switched back to smartlock, so I'm not sure if I actually had a SOD while using it.

May I ask which WM build you are using?

Re: Sleep OF Death!

I had the same problem with my Sprint TP2 and it was attirbuted to my email. For some reason, my phone all of the sudden tried to download all o the emails from my yahoo acount (over 4000) even though it was set to bring in the last 3 days. Check to see how many emails are on your phone.

You're right. Had the SOD this morning without any lock programs running. Time to re-base my ROM on something besides HTC 2.07.

Re: Sleep OF Death!

just wondering why you guys are so set on using a lock program?
don't use one, don't need one and have never had sod errors.
of course i would never use a stock rom either so that may have something to do with it.

just seems like if you are having problems stop using the software that is causing them.

Re: Sleep OF Death!

Does Mr. X's ROM work on Sprint also or is it only for VZW?
