sms/mms notification on menu bar but no message in inbox help plz!!!

ive tried rebootn, pulling battery, deleting all inbox and even reset button but the notification still says there is a msg in my inbox... does any1 know whats wrong or how to fix?

yea search the site for a cab called Fixunreadcount u can also search for the regedit that our late boredandtattoed posted here sometime last year.

EDIT.... this thread has both fixes.
