How do I make a ROM dump generic?

I need some help. I downloaded the kitchen and I starting to understand it. My question is how do I make a rom dump generic. I'm on cricket and wanting to use the latest verizon rom but with the Verizon branding anywhere.

Can someone tell me all the things I need to delete to make it generic, or point me to a site that talks about this?
