Hash Codes with Custom Roms ##778#

I have tried a few custom roms and the hash codes do not work.
Is it necessary to flash back to stock rom just to use codes?

Depending on the your carrier you may need to install that specific carrier cab if its not pre installed in the rom already

Re: Hash Codes with Custom Roms ##778#

I'm on SSK 3.1 and all the ## codes work.

I tried ##DATA#, ##778#, ##DEBUG#, all worked.

Not sure how he got them working, but they do.

Like muffinman said, try the carrier cab and see if that helps. I seem to recall that I tried that on my TP1 and it didn't work for me.

Re: Hash Codes with Custom Roms ##778#

I could never get all ## codes to work on Energy ROMs. I did provision it etc.
It also has to do with phone skins. But you would think if one code worked they would all would work.

I'm sure it could have been fixed but there were too many issues like this to fix each ROM. So I put the effort into learning how to use Kitchen instead to build exactly what I wanted.

I have since built my own custom ROM with Calkulin's Kitchen and many more subtle things work good. I think it helps that Calkulin is on Sprint Still few kinks to work out though.

See my signature for details on how to build a custom ROM with Kitchen.
