Anyone else notice Auto screen brightness kills battery faster than fixed?
Even though I can't confirm it with Battery monitor I swear the auto brightness feature itself uses some battery.
Even when I'm in total darkness (where auto bright would be set low) it uses more battery than just setting it fixed at the same brightness. I keep it fixed at 30% and get great battery life. If you have had it on bright it will seem dim at first. But just after little while it seem plenty bright in all conditions. Except direct sun of course but nothing is bright enough for that any way. |

I believe you.
I keep mine set at 50% brightness and still get better battery life than I do when I use the auto-brightness setting. |

Lumos or auto battery kill the battery faster. That's why I use the mylight : http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/pocket-...d-mylight.html
Video performance also takes a hit when auto adjustment is enabled.....at least it did on the touch pro 1 |

Auto def uses more battery..I just really like it and the battery on the TP2 is great and always lasts the day for me so I leave it on. On my Diamond and Touch Pro it was off and set to 30%

I know it eats battery and I still use it. Even though I have an icon to adjust the brightness in my start menu, it's still a pain when you have it set to a static brightness and then go outside in the bright sun....can't see nada.
