I'm using the trial of Agile Messenger and really like it. IM+ uses a proxy from what I read, but Agile is direct connection.

I signed up for Palringo, so I'm going to give that a whirl as well.

IM+ may be better, but no IM is worth a monthly fee. Palringo is free.

octro is still free and works well. it does kill the battery though, but i would think any IM agent would
