is there a setting so the background image stretches in landscape mode instead of being cutoff and repeated.

the only way you can really fix it is try adding the background image through pictures and videos. you'll have to try both portrait or landscape witch ever way would fit better.

You need to make your own TSK files, so you need a theme maker.

They have the option to support both landscape and portrait mode.

can anyone recommend a good theme maker for wm6 that will change the top and bottom bar colors too? the ones i found are for wm5 and the bars don't stay the colors i set them at

actually dont listen to them i had that problem and it bugged the hell out of me all you have to do is say you put a pic on the phone make sure it is a wide picture... so when you go from portrait to landscape it will show the whole picture and then when your in portrait it will just show the part of the image you selected....
