how do i save my contacts before i update my phone
 

i really have no idea how to do anything with this phone can someone help me please... how do i save my contacts ??

Easiest way would be to sync with your computer. Or - get a dashwire.com account and sync online.

Or - use this attached program, saves all contacts and texts.

If you use PIM, there is a restore option on the first screen. If you use dashwire, just sync the phone with your account. Same with Outlook.

+1 for pimbackup. I believe you can also schedule backups periodically.

Sprite backup works well, backs up to SD card and backs up the rest of the device as well.

or if you dont have any software you can just copy the "pim.vol" file under my device to your storage card. then copy it back.

Syncing with my PC with active sync is my preferred method. I use PIM in case I am on the road and have to hard reset my device.

i use htc data backup

very small software 300 kb only

before i use to have spb backup but it was 2400kb

I prefer PPCPimBackup. Just use the backup feature to save your Appointments, Contacts, Tasks, Messages, Call Logs, Speed Dials, etc. And use the same program to restore them.

MAKE SURE YOU MAKE THE BACKUP ON YOUR STORAGE CARD!
