Ringtones for HTC Mogul

I'm new to the ppc scene and I was wondering if there was a way to get ringtones to work on the Mogul. The representative at the store told me that it couldn't but, I'm sure there is a way.

They told you you couldn't? They are full of it...

You basically need a sound file (MP3, WAV, etc.) and you can place it in the Windows\Rings directory. Then they will be available under Settings - Sounds & Notifications to be chosen as ringtones.

If you are looking to use an MP3 ringtone as a ringtone for SMS, e-mail, or voicemail you may need to place the file in the \Windows root directory instead of the Rings directory.

I bet that is the Sprint store that focuzed manages. There is also a folder /My Documents/My Ringtones. I typically put all my ringtones in there, but as Pibe38 said, there is another location for sound settings.

if you put a ringtone for messages/voicemail, make sure you are satisfied with length because it doesnt stop until it hs played all the way through
