Re: GPS issues
I had the same issue. Run the quick gps and select the download button. I got no issues with GPS. I use it all the time (iguidance 2009 & Google Maps) One of the free great app to test gps is the google maps (Select Use GPS from the menu)

Re: GPS issues
Do a hard reset and get rid of all that stuff you tried and start fresh. In settings make sure your location is set to on or run quick GPS. You can also try to flash the phone and see if that clears it up if you continue to have same issues. I have not had any of these issues that you have mentioned.

Re: GPS issues
The GPS on my Imagio works flawlessly with Google Maps or Bing, and has right out of the box. If yours isn't working properly then I would return your phone to the store and get a replacement.
I'm actually very impressed with how well the GPS does work on this phone. It finds and locks on satellites very quickly. I had an Omnia and even after Verizon unlocked to GPS it never really worked all that well, especially on cloudy days. |

Re: GPS issues
I had the same problm with my replacement imagio, go to settings\all settings\personal\phone\cdma services... click on location setting, then hit the "get settings" button, click on location on. "911 only" is set as default, you'll even get a "warning" that third party gps software will now work? Then go to programs and start quick gps. Now when you start google maps you should get a lock within seconds.
