Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

The cab is for those who don't want to manually edit the reg. Either will make the same changes and produce the same result. The cab is just more convenient for those not familiar or comfortable with doing reg edits. Good luck.

I did it. I was just being stupid and forgot about A "Reg Editor". I rarely go into the registry and it's a new experience every time. I didn't want to use the cab because I wanted to make it like Sails 250 rather than 1000.

Did it and it works great. I don't know why they would have a three second delay. I can't think of ONE reason whay that would be good for anything.

I wonder how many more Registry Edits there are like this that do things we don't think of. Can we Reg Edit the camera so it doesn't take and hour to snap a pic. (I tried that Camera fix but it changed nothing for me)

Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

Fantastic tweak, this has been very annoying for me as well.

3 seconds to end a call? What an amazingly stupid default value!

Thanks for this.

The registry edit is simple if the cab didn't work for you. Using a reg editor, just follow what sailor wrote in his post under mine. Manually editing the reg will ensure the changes are made and you can custom set the time value.

The 3000 is the default 3 seconds, the time to end a call.

I changed mine to 250.
Worked great! I appreciate it.

If you're running Julien Schapman's Advanced Configuration Tool: the "end call delay" tweak can be found under "Phone." Easy way to tweak your phone without reg edits.

Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

some of this stuff about reg edits might be easy to some of you guys but i do not even know what that is and i dont believe that i should be messing with something that sounds that important. The cab file seams pretty basic and straight foreward. I am no computer guy, if it wasn't for the great people here i would not even know that you could change icons to color. i would like to keep it as simple as possible. I got a feeling i could really screw this phone up if i start playing with reg. edits. (course i would have to know were to find them first) So the basic question is why do some cabs just work and others not seem to do anything?

1. Some cabs cancel out other cabs. Usually because of a registry conflict.
2. Some cabs were designed for other phones and folks are just trying them on the Imagio.
3. Some cabs require a little tweaking to work properly.

Editing the registry is easy once you figure it out. But there's an "Aha!" moment you have to have, and until then it's like trying to explain magic.
