3. Download Superuser (http://goo-inside.me/superuser/su-2....fgh-signed.zip) and put on your SD card
4. Put your serial number (S/N located under battery or on box) where indicated

Re: revolutionary.io root for Evo 4G 2.3.3

It's simple guys, either follow what was posted above, or go to the link below and follow the instructions, the only thing I will add to the instructions below is after you have entered your beta number into the cmd box it will root the phone and then after it will ask if you want to install the clockwork recovery, I would say yes and then you can change to RA later if you want but at least start with that one I would suggest.

Sorry that was me reordering the list and not proof reading. You should put your S/N without spaces into the box on revolutionary.io

Hope that helps,

-Travis

Re: revolutionary.io root for Evo 4G 2.3.3

For some reason my phone won't let me choose the super user zip. It aborts when I try to install it. Anyone know what causes this?

Check the permissions and see if they are enabled or disabled while you are in recovery. Once you are in Hboot then slide down to recovery and then install the zip.

Re: revolutionary.io root for Evo 4G 2.3.3

I finally got the beta key to work. The problem was with the beta key generation: apparently the developers use the character "I" in many of the key codes. This is indistinguishable from "l" (lower case L). Cut and paste (through CMD) is the only way to accurately get the beta key into the program.

Good luck...

Re: revolutionary.io root for Evo 4G 2.3.3

Does it wipe your phone or can you do it without doing a backup?

It doesn't wipe your phone unless you flash a stock rom, I would always suggest doing a backup before attempting anything of the sort.

I had the same problem rooting my 3D. I must've entered it 20 times, LOL
