Blown earpiece speaker

As of today I noticed a crackle in my earpiece speaker. The life timer only reads 1006 minutes for the 6 months I've had the phone. Not a long speaker life at all. I know that I can take it to a Sprint store. My phone is rooted, do you think that Sprint would give me an issue replacing the speaker if I am rooted? If so, I will go back to stock for now. Thanks in advance.

same thing happened to me.i took my phone into sprint rooted and walked out with a new phone 2 days later.

I went in running Myn's and was told to come back with a stock ROM. He was cool but said his manager was "looking" for rooted phones. It takes 5 minutes to unroot. You flash two files and that is it.

I was rooted and my speaker blew recently. I unrooted and took it in they replaced the speaker in an hour.... No charge.

rooted, when I went into the store and had my speaker replaced in 20 mins. tech guy and I talked about different roms actually.

If you brought it to my store, I'd replace it without even looking at what's on the screen. Hardware != software.
