HTC Statement on Unofficial 2.2

From Twitter a few minutes ago.

htc If you applied the unofficial EVO update, we are working to get you back on the official track. We will get back to you in the coming days.

Is that a threat or a promise to help? Very innocuous sounding.

Thats funny. Upgrade comes out tomorrow Offical, now HTC says they will get back with first responders later. Sprint just change the version number and all will be fine instead of the 2.2 xxxxxxxxxx.3

I think he means x.6 but who can tell what the final version will be numbered, it's all speculation until someone loses an eye.

this is some bullshit, even if they don't change the version number we can still flash back to the original rom and then update OTA right?

Are you rooted?

If you are or not, I'd root and then flash the new update (when its out) that is rooted.

Within minutes of it coming out you will see ROOTED versions. Go with one of those...

unless you have already flashed the unrooted OTA that was release a few days ago..
