[Guide] Hide pictures, videos or other files.
 

I figure there might be a need for this, it took me forever to figure it out on my first android device the Hero. So I thought I would pass it along.
- First things first download a file manager from the market I use ES File Manager and will be telling you how to set that up for the remainder of this guide.
- Run ES File Manager, click menu/settings/file settings, check Show Hidden Files. Exit out of the menu back to ES File Manager.
- Click menu/new/folder and create a folder with any name but it must start with . for example .private
- Now copy any pictures videos or files to that folder and the only way you can see them is through ES File Manager or if you connect your SD card to a computer with show hidden folders enabled.

To copy files to the hidden folder through ES File Manager just navigate to the file you want (for example pictures will be in DCIM/100MEDIA and videos will be in DCIM/CAMERA) and long press the file select either cut or copy and then navigate back to your .private folder and long press a blank area and select paste. I hope you find this helpful!

*TIP* for added security disable hidden files in ES File Manager, so if someone happens to open ES File Manager they dont stumble upon your private stuff.

I just downloaded File Cover from the market. Does the same thing.

No it doesnt. It allows you to hide pictures and it costs money. This is free and you can hide anything.
