Broken shortcuts for Apps on SD card

Forgive me but I couldn't find and this seems like a common issue... If i install Apps and move to my sd, eventually my shortcuts for those Apps turn to the default android shortcuts (kinda looks like market) and some of them won't even open the app. The others work but just don't look very appealing, anyone else have the issue?

Yeah, it's a known issue. There are fixes. Open applications and force close sense is one. I'm using Fast Reboot from the market after rebooting. I'm doing research into the problem but so far I haven't found much. I believe it's a Sense issue in the launcher.

Re: Broken shortcuts for Apps on SD card

Hit the Personalize icon from the Home screen, select a different Scene and then switch back to the one you had been using; it'll refresh all the icons.

Also, you could use a handy, free widget called Multicon Widget, which allows you to fit more shortcuts on the screen, and it seems to cache the icons, preventing them from changing to the generic icon in the first place.

BTW, I nest the Multicon Widget with another called Folder Organizer, so each of the four shortcuts that I can fit into the space normally taken by a single one opens a folder displaying all the apps I have categorized accordingly. So now I never have to use the app drawer; once I categorized all my apps (e.g., games, tools, internet, etc.), I simply open the folder for that category, and I get a window showing all corresponding apps.

Hey the easiest way to fix this is to move those apps back to the phone in setting>applications>manage applications>(whatever app) move to phone...you have quite bit of internal space so it won't hurt to have only the ones that are on your home screen saved to your phone!
