Question about Sprint TEP (total equipment protection) with the Diamond

I have some questions about Sprints TEP. If i sign up for the plan, and my diamond has problems, how easy is it to get it fixed/ replaced. whats the chances of them trying to fix it vs replacing it (say for example for a button which is giving me problems)

Also, if my diamond is giving me problems, can i only switch to another diamond or am i able to switch to another phone like the touch pro

lastly but not least, if the diamond2/touch pro2 come out, how much after it comes out do you guys think we can get a diamond2 for a problem with the origional diamond? (like i give them my diamond which has a keypad problem, and they hand me a diamond2)

You already posted this very same question in the "Who's Staying with their Diamond" thread @8:42pm of which my answers were posted.
It is better to post a question in one thread so you can find your answers easily and it is also easier to post answers :)

if its broken they will fix it. if they cant fix it they will replace it. they will not upgrade you to a td2.

my experience is they fix very little. If you look on the sprint web site, I have yet to find a repair center that actually officially works on HTC phones! I switched to $4 insurance only because they wanted $100 to replace my phone after they tried to fix it and totally broke and it was minorly broken to start with. Eventually got them to mail me a free replacement (I hope, you never know).

they'll only upgrade you if they don't have any. (don't sell it anymore and run out of refurbs from the warehouse)

All of this information is on the Sprint website in-depth. Not trying to be a hard @$$, but this has as close to nothing to do with a PPC as possible, let alone the fact that there was obviously ZERO searching done (on google or the forums). Sorry to be "That Guy", but it should be said.

The store around here would rather replace the Diamond so I guess it all depends on what store you go.
