Alarm + Device Lock + Standby = Bug!

Please test the following scenario on your diamonds and report back:
1) Set an appointment in your calendar for the future.
2) Make sure the appointment is set to have a reminder (say, 15 minutes before the appointment)
3) Before the reminder is about to go off, lock the phone and put it in standby.

In my case, often in this scenario, the phone will not sound the reminder alarm, and will enter a partially locked state where all the hardware buttons are locked but the screen is unlocked. The screen does not display the unlock softkey. The power button is also locked, so the only recourse is to remove the battery.

If you're wondering how I encounter this scenario so often, it goes like this... I have a varied work schedule and I set appointments with reminders for every day I have work. It takes me 20 minutes to get to work. So 5 minutes into my drive, my phone is locked, in standby in the center console, when the reminder alarm is supposed to ring. Often I notice it has not rung. I pick it up and find it in this half locked state.
